There's not one single answer to this question. A website design is quoted based on the needs of each individual design. Every website is unique and requires different components; I design and develop custom websites specifically for small and medium businesses. I'll questions, assess your needs, and give you a quote based on that assessment.

On average, I shoot for a four to eight-week turnaround, but the pace of any design is set by each client. How much input you can provide during the initial stages, your availability with feedback, and how soon the content is ready, all affect the speed of completion. The functionality needs may also play a role, more complex sites will take more time to develop.

Before we begin working together, we'll usually have an initial chat on the phone or via Google Meet or Zoom to discuss the design. Once we get started, most of the communication will take place over email and Meet/Zoom meetings.

This makes the process a lot easier as we'll have all of the information saved and can come back to it later.

It really depends on what type of website you want. I'll be able to discuss this on our discovery call before we start working together.

The process I use to build your website takes a certain amount of time and a lot of planning and research. Unlike other agencies or Freelancers, DON'T use templates. I build your website from scratch, which means you get a unique design tailored to your business. Buying a website from me should not just simply be seen as a business expense as your website is a sales tool that should earn you money.

It depends on the package you choose. We are happy to write the text for your website if you would like. We have a copywriter in the house who will create the content for your website so you don't have to.

You're in luck. I offer a risk-free guarantee. Before I build your new website, we'll design a mockup of your homepage. We'll design a layout first, that way you'll get to see my initial designs within approximately ten days. This is your opportunity to give us feedback and if you really don't like it, you don't have to move forward. The best part is, this won't cost you anything.

Absolutely! Having a mobile-friendly website is more important than ever! I work hard to ensure your website looks great on a variety of devices.

Usually, that is you. You are the expert on your business, so it's usually best if it comes from you. If you need help, we can recommend copywriters who can help clean up or write original content for you at an additional cost.

A lot! Your input and feedback are crucial to this process. We'll start with a lot of questions about your needs, your likes, and your wants and work with you to develop just the right look and functionality.

You can have an unlimited amount of pages on your website. I'll usually design 3-10 page layouts according to your initial requirement i.e. A homepage, about page, contact page, a blog page an inner page e.g. your about page. You can then use whichever layout you want for each new page you want to add.

You will own the domain. I will register the domain in your name and address and it belongs to you. This means you have ultimate control over it.

Hosting is super important! When it comes to hosting, you get what you pay for. We've developed a list of our absolute favorite hosts to help you find the right host at the right price. Check out our list.

If you want me to host your website, I'll usually host it for you and you don't need to do anything. I'll send you an invoice once a year and you just need to pay the hosting fee and you don't need to do anything else. Alternatively, you can host the website elsewhere and manage it yourself, host it anywhere and assign me to maintain it for you. It's completely up to you.

For most projects, equal payments are made at the start, midway, and end of the project, but we can work with you to set up a schedule that meets your needs.

Yes, I split the payment into two. The first 50% is usually taken once you have seen the mockup of your homepage and you're happy to move forward. The following 50% is after completing the project.. However, I understand that this is a big investment and want to help you budget for the expense in whatever way possible.

Typically not. Social media is not a part of the web design process. However, we are always looking for ways to make your life easier. If you'd like us to do this for you, we can arrange a package that suits you.
